Selma City Schools Opens Saints Virtual Academy
Applications for the Saints Virtual Academy (SVA) are now open to scholars grades 6-12. Saints Virtual Academy offers an innovative and highly accountable learning environment for scholars seeking a robust, non-traditional learning option.
The Saints Virtual Academy is a unique pathway to graduation for scholars who are self-directed, responsible, and independent learners with world-changing educators providing high-quality, individualized instruction and support. Scholars who choose to enroll in SVA are expected to work on a paced schedule developed from diagnostic testing and individualized learning plans.
Why choose Saints Virtual Academy? Scholars will have the flexibility to learn and work anywhere they choose. We offer various opportunities for scholars seeking a comprehensive educational experience including Career Technical Education courses along with certification and credentialing is available to all scholars. Internships and the Ready to Work program will enable scholars, who choose, to bypass college and enter the workforce after graduation. Dual enrollment and AP classes are available for scholars wanting to earn college credit while in high school or even graduate from SVA with an Associate’s degree! Additionally, early graduation eligibility will be available for scholars grades 10-12. ACT Prep and Student Advising/Mentoring will be built into the curriculum. All courses offered will be taught by certified teachers with face-to-face support offered throughout the year. Most importantly, Saints Virtual Academy is free!
