Selma City Schools Teacher named Finalist for Alabama Teacher of the Year
(Selma, AL, 4/13/22) Selma City Schools is pleased to announce that Denisha Streeter is one of sixteen finalists for Alabama Teacher of the Year. Last December, Mrs. Streeter was named the Elementary Teacher of the Year for Selma City Schools.
“Mrs. Streeter represents the best of the best!” says Superintendent Dr. Avis Williams. “Team Selma is so fortunate to have such a creative, exemplary, compassionate champion for our scholars. On behalf of the Selma City Schools Board of Education, we congratulate and celebrate her excellence!”

The 2022-2023 Alabama Teacher of the Year will be announced by the Alabama State Board of Education and Alabama State Department of Education in May
