Selma City Schools Announces District Level Teacher of the Year Nominees

(Selma, AL, 1/21/2021) Selma City Schools is pleased to announce the selection of the 2021-2022 District Teachers of the Year. Congratulations to Kendra Murray and Monica Russell. Mrs. Murray, first grade teacher at Edgewood Elementary, is the elementary level Teacher of the Year. Monica Russell, seventh grade Math teacher at R.B. Hudson STEAM Academy, is the secondary level Teacher of the Year.
I am deeply humbled to be selected as Selma City Schools’ Elementary Teacher of Year. It does my heart well to be recognized as a change agent for the scholars in which I have the opportunity to serve on a daily basis. My commitment to excellence extends far beyond the expectations I am tasked with implementing daily.
