If your child requires remediation, intervention, acceleration, STEAM enrichment, or requires summer school in order to recover courses or credits, then our 2024 Summer Learning Camp is the place to be! We invite you to join us on "A Fantastic Voyage of Success" by completing the 2024 Summer Learning Camp application, which is due by Friday, May 10, 2024. Selma City Schools 2024 Summer Learning Camp: "A Fantastic Voyage to Success!"
Dear Parent/Guardian,
Your child is invited to the Selma City Schools 2024 Summer Learning Camp which begins on Monday, June 3, 2024, and ends on Wednesday, July 3, 2024! Our Summer Learning Camp will run Monday-Thursday from 8:00 am to 1:30 pm and will include FREE breakfast and lunch. FREE Transportation will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Please see our 2024 Summer Learning Camp information below to ensure that your child joins us on "A Fantastic Voyage to Success!"
Program Dates: June 3 - July 3, 2024
Program Times: M-TH 8:00 am-1:30 pm
Program Sites: K-6 at Edgewood (EES & Meadowview Intervention, Promotion, STEAM Enrichment Programs); K-6 at Payne (PES and Clark Intervention, Promotion, STEAM Enrichment Programs); PK-6 at SPK (SPK and all Pre-K Intervention, Promotion, STEAM Enrichment Programs ); 7-12 at SHS (RBH /SVA [7-8] at $75.00/Grade Recovery Promotion & STEAM Enrichment, SHS /SVA [9-12] at $75.00/Credit Recovery Promotion & STEAM Enrichment)
***For scholars residing outside of the Selma City School District, a fee of $100.00 is required to enroll in one of our K-6 Summer Learning Camps OR a fee of $100.00/Grade Recovery (7-8) or $100.00/Credit Recovery (9-12).
The policies set forth by Selma City Schools in the Student-Parent Resource Handbook, including behavioral and daily attendance expectations, will be strictly enforced.
Please complete this online application before Friday, May 10, 2024, to reserve your child's seat aboard "A Fantastic Voyage to Success" at Selma City School's 2024 Summer Learning Camp. For more information, please call your child's assigned Summer Learning Camp Location.

Who Needs to Enroll in PowerSchool for the 2024-2025 School Year?
New Scholars These are scholars who will be attending Selma City Schools for the first time. This includes scholars who recently moved into the district, or who were previously enrolled in a private school or was home schooled.
Returning Scholars - These are scholars who attended Selma City Schools last school year.
*Returning students will not register online though Powerschools.
NEW SCHOLARS
New scholars should complete the enrollment form and upload the required documents listed below. Once this process is complete, please visit the school for which you are enrolling with the uploaded documents for verification.
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
Any student entering the Selma City Schools, regardless of grade level, shall be required to submit the following:

Updated Custody Documentation, when applicable

Immunization Record

Birth Certificate

Residency Documents:
- A current lease, deed, property tax or mortgage statement for the custodial parent, AND
- A current utility bill (water, gas, or electricity) for the legal residence in the custodial parent's name
Required documents must be uploaded directly to the PowerSchool Enrollment Portal and verified at the local school. Please contact your local school office for assistance.
If you cannot provide proof of residence because you are living with someone else, you must provide following documents:
- Homeowner’s Photo ID
- Homeowner’s lease, deed, property tax or mortgage statement
- Homeowner’s current utility bill (water, gas or electricity)
Parent/Guardian will provide at least one piece of mail of importance showing the address listed for the student such as bank statement, car insurance statement, current paycheck stub etc.
