All technology purchases must be made from the approved vendors. For a list of these vendors and purchase options, go to the Selma City Schools Web Page- Technology Page. Technology money given to the teachers must be spent for technology purchases. By definition, spending that will be approved is only allowed for, “computer hardware, software, devices connected to computer hardware or items or spending necessary to ensure a working computer and a network connection.” Any other purchase requests will be denied. If the school purchases items that are not approved with this money, the school could incur the cost of payback. The District Technology Department will not be required to maintain computers, hardware or programs that have not been approved by the District Technology Department Office.
