Introduction to Career Technical Education (CTE)


Career Cluster Technologies is a 40-hour course (nine-weeks of a 50-minute class) customized for students in Grade 6 to improve communication skills, learn about the value of work, develop leadership skills, explore career opportunities, and become aware of basic employability skills like touch-typing and etiquette. Students will be exposed to basic financial literacy, the economy, digital literacy, and job search tools like the Occupation Outlook Handbook. Students will also earn certifications (skills) using online educational platforms.

Computer Science Discoveries is a year-long elective designed as an introductory computer science course that empowers students to create authentic artifacts and engage with computer science as a medium for creativity, communication, problem-solving, and fun.
