Adopt A School

The  purpose of the Adopt-A-School Program is to provide a structured pathway for partnership between    Selma City Schools and community supporters. Our goal is to establish lasting relationships with supporters that enhances the quality of education provided to our students.

The Adopt-A-School Program is a year-long endeavor  with partners   collaborating with specific schools to assist with their unique needs.  It is our belief that all partners can play a pivotal role in accelerating student and school success.

The entire school community, in particular the students, gain from the additional resources and experience offered by corporate and community partners. Adopters can have a direct impact on the school community and have an opportunity to form quality relationships with one school.

Engagement activities between the school and partner are tailored toward the school and partner's needs, and go beyond a one-time, transactional experience. Adopting a school can also help you get a  jumpstart on developing your future workforce because you are helping to develop high performing students.

What Do Adopters Do?

Adopters initiate activities that inspire and enhance student educational experiences through various activities:

Ö Academic Enrichment/Career Awareness

Ö Student Incentives/Motivation

Ö Cultural Enrichment

Ö Improving School

Potential Activities can include:
