Principal's Corner

Welcome!!

Principal

Greeting to all Saint Families and Supporters:

It is with great honor and excitement that I introduce myself, Stoney Pritchett, as the new Principal of Selma High School. As a proud alumnus of Selma High, I am motivated, dedicated, and very passionate about seeing the students, faculty, and staff be successful at Selma High. My passion for education and supporting the success of all students has been shaped from my various roles over the years as special education teacher, basketball coach, football coach, baseball coach, assistant principal, counselor, athletic director, bus driver, and principal. In each of these roles, I have sought to ensure the safety of all students and to ensure each student was receiving a quality and well-rounded education.

A quality and well-rounded education is multi-faceted. It is characterized by excellent standards based and project-based instruction, bell to bell, from superior teachers, as well as extracurricular activities which enable students to develop self-esteem, integrity, character, leadership, and teamwork outside of the classroom. At Selma High School, our students will have the opportunity to reach their goals through our advanced placement courses, dual enrollment program, strategic teaching in all core courses, outstanding athletics programs, Gear Up program, and career technical programs. We will also offer a variety of clubs, student organizations, and after school programs to ensure that all of our students have an opportunity to receive a well-rounded quality education.

Most importantly, this school year will be the collaboration of students, parents, faculty members, and all other stakeholders working together and joining the Selma High School PTA.

As the Principal of SHS, I am committed to ensuring a safe and conducive learning environment at were learning is a priority. I look forward to having a great school year. Please do not hesitate to call or contact me. My door is always open.

Go Saints!!

Sincerely,

Stoney Pritchett, M.Ed.
