Arabella Sheehan

Arabella Wilkinson Sheehan received her first education in Selma, Alabama, graduating from high school in 1973. She received her BS in Early Childhood Education from Auburn University, as well as a Masters degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of West Alabama. Ms. Sheehan continued by earning a AA degree from Alabama State University in Early Childhood Education.

Ms. Sheehan has shared her knowledge of Early Childhood Education with an abundance of children for over 38 years. She is a Golden Apple recipient, is the current president for Delta Kappa Gamma educational sorority, an instrumental leader in “Bags for Byrd” program, and a top 5 candidate for the 2018 Jacksonville Teacher Hall of Fame. Byrd First Class is pleased to honor Ms. Sheehan as their 2017-2018 Teacher of the Year. 

Arabella enjoys swimming, walking, and frequent trips to the beach. When she is not teaching young children at Byrd, you can find her spending time with her two daughters and three grandchildren. Ms. Sheehan attends church at Cornerstone Presbyterian.
