Mrs. Lisa H. Sexton is a native of Selma and a 1984 graduate of Selma High School. Mrs. Sexton has been with the Selma City School System for 15 years, but has over 30 years of experience in teaching dance. She studied with Dance Masters of America at Kent State University of Ohio. Mrs. Sexton teaches many genres of dance with an emphasis on tap, ballet and jazz.
At the School of Discovery, Mrs. Sexton offers three different classes. Performance Dance students study dance for a year and learn performance techniques. Discovery Dance students take dance class as a 9 week elective course and are introduced to the basics of dance. There is also a class offered for boys who wish to learn and perform tap dancing.
Mrs. Sexton is married to Bill Sexton and has one son, Alex.
She is also the owner of McConnell Twins Dance Studio in Selma.
